We thank Fr. Luis for being with us the last 5 weeks. We appreciate your wisdom and knowledge at our Eucharistic celebrations. We wish you the best at Holy Spirit Parish. Thanks again.
We might have Fr. Albert Sayson this week. His flight to Canada was scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 27. He needs a few days in Calgary to buy winter clothes and get to know the bishop and administration of the diocese. Fr. Long Vu volunteered to bring him to the Hat whenever he is ready.
The coming of Fr. Albert and the return of Fr. Alphonse (Hospital Chaplain) on Dec. 13 will be a great joy for me since I have been on call 24/7 and haven’t had a day off for a long time. Now I can plan not only for my day off but also for a vacation after the New Year.
This week I would like you to pray for our priests:
O Jesus, our great High Priest, hear my humble prayers on behalf of your priests. Give them a deep faith, a bright and firm hope and a burning love which will ever increase in the course of their priestly life.
Celebrate with their joy and happiness; Comfort them in their sorrows; strengthen them in their frustrations; point out to them that it is through suffering that the soul is purified; and show them that they are needed by the Church; they are helpful to the people; and they are needed for the work of Christ’s redemption.
O loving Mother Mary, Mother of Priests, take to your heart your sons who are close to you because of their priestly ordination, and because of the power which they have received to carry on the work of Christ in a world. Be their comfort, be their joy, their strength, and especially help them to live and to defend the ideals of a consecrated life for the sake of God’s Kingdom. Amen
